When one of the 101 questions is “How has your relationship with Jesus Christ changed since this relationship?” you quickly realize “101 Questions to Ask Before You Get Engaged” is NOT A SERIOUS OR USEFUL BOOK AT ALL! Apparently, the title I was looking for is, “101 Questions Serious and RATIONAL People ask Before Getting Engaged.” First thing in the morning, I will try to get my money back from Amazon for this God-Awful book. BUYER BEWARE – This is NOT MONEY WELL SPENT!

If you didn’t think to ask most of these questions you either live under a rock or pay very little attention to your partner. However, that is not even the biggest problem with the assumption this book makes. The Christian babble isn’t the most grating aspect either. It’s easy to ignore downright nonsense and narrow-minded hate mongering; Seriously, if ‘erratic faith practices’ and homosexuality as ‘baggage to be corrected’ don’t make you laugh out loud check for a pulse! The biggest problem rational people will find with this book is that the author, though briefly admits most people don’t know how to communicate constructively, doesn’t actually provide readers with any techniques on how to constructively communicate. Irrelevant ‘interview’ questions don’t go very far if you don’t have any ‘interview’ skills. MOST PEOPLE DON’T! AND THIS BOOK DOES NOT TEACH YOU ANY OF THOSE SKILLS! Save your money and time.
